Homestyle Meat Loaf
Serves 6
Ingredients:
1 slice white bread, torn into small pieces
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 lb ground round
1/3 cup ketchup
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350° F.
In a large bowl, combine bread, onion, bell pepper, parsley, garlic, egg, salt and black pepper. Mix ingredients together well.
Crumble ground round over bread mixture and combine until blended.
Coat a large loaf pan with cooking spray then pat meat mixture into pan. Spread ketchup over top. Place in oven and bake for 1 hour.
Allow meat loaf to stand in pan for 10 minutes before removing and cutting into 6 slices.
