Sirloin Steak Chili

Hearty, meaty and packed with wholesome ingredients.

Ingredients:

8 slices bacon
1 yellow onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb boneless sirloin steak, cubed
Salt, to taste
Ground black pepper, to taste
1 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 can kidney beans, 15 oz.
1 can diced tomatoes, 14.5 oz.
1 cup corn kernels
Shredded cheese, for garnish

Directions:

  1. Cook bacon in a deep saucepan until crisp over medium heat. Transfer bacon to a paper towel lined plate. Discard the grease.
  2. Add onion, bell pepper, garlic and steak to the same saucepan. Season with salt and pepper. Cook over medium until steak is evenly browned.
  3. Crumble the bacon into the saucepan. Season with paprika, cumin, oregano. Stir together. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Add kidney beans, tomatoes and corn kernels to saucepan. Season with salt and pepper and stir together. Place the lid on the saucepan, reduce heat to low to simmer for 35-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Spoon chili into serving bowls. Sprinkle shredded cheese over top and enjoy!
